ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:

Crohn's disease is a kind of inflammatory disease of gastrointestinal system which is characterized by the transmural inflammation and remissionexacerbation periods. Stricturoplasty is an alternative surgical method to treat obstruction without resection in appropriate patients such as wide or multipl jejunoileal disease.

METHODS:

We here present six cases for whom stricturoplasty was performed due to symptomatic obstruction.

RESULTS:

We here present six cases for whom stricturoplasty was performed due to symptomatic obstruction.

CONCLUSION:

Our limited data support the safety and efficacy of stricturoplasty in Cronn's disease.
