ABSTRACT

Single port access devices and procedures are a promising form of minimally invasive surgery currently in the initial stages of clinical experience. There is growing acceptance and enthusiasm among surgeons, patients, and industry. Here, we describe the fundamentals of single port laparoscopic surgery, as well as one initial experience with this technique.
