ABSTRACT

Retrorectal masses or masses in the presacral space are rarely seen. A great majority of tumoral masses are benign. Malign masses are rarely seen. We hereby present the case of a 68-year-old patient operated because of a retrorectal mass with the pathological diagnosis of well differentiated chondrosarcoma. The tumor was completely removed by partial sacral excision through a posterior approach. The tumor was reported to be of 5x4 cm in size. It was seen that the patient’s complaints got better following the surgery. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy were initiated as adjuvant treatment.
