ABSTRACT
Trauma is the most common cause of morbidity and mortality in healthy adults. Missed rectal injuries can cause significant morbidity and mortality. Rectovaginal fistula is a disease is a result of abnormal epithelial connection between anterior wall of rectum and posterior wall of the vagina. Obstetrical injuries are the most common cause of rectovaginal fistula. Other causes include inflammatory bowel disease, malignancy, radiation, trauma, and previous pelvic and perineal operations. In this article we report a case of rectovaginal fistula that occured due to multiple trauma.
