ABSTRACT

Introduction:

Pelvic exanteration is a higly morbid and even mortal surgical procedure which requires a multidiscipilinary approach.

Case:

Here we present a case of recurrent vulvar cancer invading the anus with inguinal lymph node metastases and without lateral pelvic side wall invasion.

Result:

Recurrent pelvic tumors without lateral pelvic side wall invasion are good candidates for pelvic exanteration. A delicate diagnostic work up, such as pelvic MRI, and pathologic examination and a good surgical tehnique are crucial inorder to achive excellent results.
