ABSTRACT
Chronic anal fissure plays a major role among benign anorectal diseases. It consists of three components which are fissure itself, hypertrophic anal papilla and skin tag. Patients usually complain about pain during defecation and rectal bleeding can accompany this situation. A consensus is not yet achieved on its treatment. In this article we present a 38 year old female patient with chronic anal fissure in whom a mucosal band was formed between the hypertrophic anal papilla and the sentinel skin tag additional to the usual anal fissure components.
