ABSTRACT

In recent years, an increase in benign pneumoperitoneum cases is observed related to the increase in endoscopic, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic interventions. While previously surgical approach was the first choice in these types of cases, conservative treatments gradually increased in selected cases with the innovations obtained in diagnostic and treatment methods. Patients in whom intra-abdominal free air are detected and who does not present peritoneum irritation findings, can be observed in clinics and laboratories. Complications arising from surgery will be removed in these patients treated conservatively. In this study we aimed to present the benign pneumoperitoneum case in which intra-abdominal free air is determined and treated without surgical intervention.
